Post-Op Chronicles: Navigating Recovery with Vitamin D and Sarcasm

Well, well, well, look who's on the other side of surgery now! It's yours truly, reporting live from the land of post-op recovery. So, what's the verdict? What's changed, you ask? Well, for starters, I've bid farewell to my trusty army of medications. No more playing pharmacist with my morning routine – it's just me and my newfound best friend, vitamin D. Who knew a little sunshine in pill form could bring such joy? Maybe it's the sun peeking through my window, or perhaps it's just the relief of not having to down a handful of pills every day. Either way, I'll take it!

Update: still kicking, still recovering, still living the dream (sort of). Turns out, being away from the chaos of the office has its perks – like not needing those pesky beta blockers to keep my anxiety in check. It's like my heart flutters have decided to take a siesta, and I'm all for it. Plus, this whole relaxation thing? Turns out, I'm not half bad at it. Who knew kicking back and taking it easy could feel so... well, easy?

Ah, the saga of hot flashes continues – they come and go faster than a summer romance. Looks like I've become a professional shower-taker, thanks to these unexpected heat waves. But hey, it's a small price to pay for a little relief, right? As for the ongoing battle between my stomach and intestines – let's just say it's like a scene out of a Shakespearean tragedy down there. To bloat or not to bloat, that is the question.

Constipation, oh constipation, wherefore art thou easing up? Still no sign of relief on that front, folks. It's like my digestive system has decided to go on strike, leaving me to ponder the mysteries of fiber and prune juice while I wait for nature to take its course. Ah, the glamorous life of a post-op patient – where every trip to the bathroom is an exercise in patience and perseverance.

So here's to embracing the absurdity of recovery, one vitamin D tablet and shower at a time. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? But hey, as long as there's humour and humility, I'm ready for whatever comes my way.
